Design principle

The abs conveyance system closures are divided into three series. Based on the design principle of the open total steel design, our T90 conveyance system closure “abs 989” qualifies for the frame construction of the gate leaf. Our series “abs SLIDE” and “abs SWING” are adapted to the requirements of the new European test requirements and they offer a flexible modular system. All systems are adapted to the requirements of our customers and they offer:

Frame:

The frame consists of steel profiles, which will be connected to the building through approved fastening types.

Gate leaf:

The gate leaf consists mainly of several layers of calcium-silicate fire protection plates with different harnesses and identities. The front and the rear of the gate leaf is protected by an additional steel sheet planking. The reopening of a blocking element is performed either manually (handle or cable pull) or motor driven. Corrosion protection: The guides and the metal sheets are primed and will be covered by a topcoat. The standard version of the gate leaf will be delivered in a zinc-plated design for the series abs SLIDE and abs SWING. After an agreement, a new paint coating with our standard colors for the gate leaf in RAL 9006 white aluminum and for the frame in RAL 7000 gray as well as in all other RAL colors is possible.

 

The guides and the metal sheets are primed and will be covered by a topcoat. The standard version of the gate leaf will be delivered in a sink plated design for the series abs SLIDE and abs SWING. After an agreement, a new paint coating with our standard colors for the gate leaf in RAL 9006 white aluminum and for the frame in RAL 7000 gray as well as in all other RAL colors is possible.

Depending on the closing direction, different means of closing will be used, and they will be dimensioned in such a way that the gate leaf closes with a moderate speed and that it safely reaches its end position. Weights, spring rope rollers and door closers are used for this purpose.

 

The gate leave is equipped with an insensible and age resistant sealing system in the overlapping area between the gate leaf and the supporting structure (wall/ceiling), which provides its full protection function when heat is applied. Foaming construction materials will be used for this purpose in case of a fire. These foaming construction materials are also used for conveyance systems that are not separated, to close the remaining gap with respect to technical fire protection in the area of the conveyance system.

 

All conveyance system closures are equipped with an approved close-off device and a “CSC open” position switch for the safety interlocking of the conveyance system. Optionally, the terminal can be equipped with a “CSC closed” position switch. The closing speed can be regulated using an eddy current or magnetic brake.
