Conveyance system closures (CSC)

Next to the control systems, the development and manufacture of conveyance system closures are our specialty and main business field.

We are glad that we can inform you about conveyance system closures on the following pages.

Closing directions

Based on the different installation situations, a multitude of closing directions are used in the area of the conveyance system closures. We would be glad to provide consultations for you to enable you to select the most economical design. In our download area, you can get an overview of the closing directions that we offer and you can find the connection dimensions in the dimensional drawings.

Separated conveyance system

The conveyance system will be separated with a gap in the closing area. For this purpose, the conveyance system can be interrupted by a folding piece or a hauling track separation device.

Conveyance system not separated

The conveyance system penetrates the closing area without separation.

Application examples for conveyance system closures:

Roller, suspension string, rounded belt and belt conveyance systems
Electric overhead conveyor rail
Circular chain conveyor
Power & free systems
Scratch chain conveyor
Rail based conveyance systems (e.g. QVW)
Container conveyance systems
Push floor conveyor a. o.
Driver-less transport systems (FTS)

Hauling track sealing:

Continuously running hauling tracks without separation must additionally be sealed. This normally takes place by using sealing blocks at the locking element (movable) and at the hauling tracks (stationary). Inevitably remaining residual openings will be foamed in case of a fire.

Pneumatic conveyance systems

Scope of application

Pneumatic conveyance systems or technical air suction systems, which are charged with chippings, fibers, residual materials, etc., and which therefore require a free pipe or duct cross-section.

Conveyance systems routed through fire resistant (F 90) ceilings or walls need so-called fire protection closures in the opening for the locking of the generated openings and they must be in accordance with an adequate fire resistance class (T 90). As a system solution, these conveyance system closures consist of a locking device, frame and blocking element as well as possibly a drive.

Sealing system for pipe and duct connection

The conveyance system closure is designed based on the “hole offset” principle. A distance piece (sealing system), whose form and dimension is equivalent to the pipe system, is permanently connected to the barrier element. The pipe system must be separated to install the fire protection closures. The incoming and outgoing pipe system is fastened on both sides at the conveyance system closure using flanges or pipe connections. The connection between the pipe systems will be established by a distance piece (opening condition) that moves in-between. The distance piece is equipped on both sides with sealing lips that can be blown up by compressed air to establish an absolute pressure-tight connection. In case of a manual tripping/fire alarm, the sealing lips will be depressurized and contract, the distance piece moves now out of the pipe system with adequate clearance and will be replaced by the locking element, which guarantees the fire protection.
